Save money by saying 'No'

When you give a ‘No’ for an answer to some people that ask for monetary favor from you, they’re likely to tag you as a stingy person. Don’t bother your head about that at all! You should know that to make money in today’s world is not an easy task.

In today’s world, the requirements to get a good paying job aren’t easy to come by; you have to be very educated and creative. In the same vein, you may have to be extremely talented naturally or have a very strong business sense and attitude to be successful.

The competition is very stiff and you are expected to live up to the bill before you can count yourself among the wealthy.

Luck can also smile at you; let’s say you win a lottery and you become a millionaire over night! Imagine what will happen…. However, without adequate money saving skills, that’ll result to a huge waste because you won’t manage the money well.

Previously unknown relatives are going to pop up from all corners all in a bid to identify with you and have a share in you lottery money. Don’t feel any guilt to tell these people that you cannot listen to their cries immediately because you need to invest and that you hope to be of help to them in the near future.

Another scenario is that you have made some money already and you have a lazy sister who comes to milk you of your hard earned money every week. The worst thing is that she uses your money to solve her boyfriend’s problems and the guy still hits her. This guy is on hard drugs and is gradually introducing your sister to it. Stop! Your trouble might become double once your dear sister immerses herself in the drug addiction thing.

Say ‘no’ to your sister when next she comes. You are wasting your money! The fact here is; you’re not applying wisdom rather, you’re being unreasonably generous! You work long hours to make this cash, then some undeserving person demands for a share. That’s absurd!

Even if it’s your child that demands for what you have not included in your budget at that time say ‘No’. The only exception is if it’s an emergency. When it comes to your wallet or your bank account, be in total control of what goes in and out of it.
