Cook for Tomorrow
Planning your menu is a great way to have a stress-free trip to the grocery store, but what to eat?! When planning a menu live by this phrase, "Cook for tomorrow!" For example, if I am making pork roast on Monday I cook enough to have leftovers so on Tuesday I can make shredded pork enchiladas. Leftover tortillas? Go for tacos the next night. Leftover hamburger meat? How about some stuffed cabbage on Thursday?
Get the picture? Get creative with your leftovers! Sure they will be good for lunch tomorrow, but they can also be the answer to the everyday question, what's for dinner?
You will find that when you start cooking for tomorrow your ingredient list gets smaller, since you have the luxury of using the same ingredients for two meals.
Try it out and see what you think! A great way to find recipes with your chosen ingredient is to try sites like Allrecipes.com and search by ingredients.
Save money and time, cook for tomorrow!
