Try a Garden

A couple months ago I planted a garden after reading a lot on how gardens can save money. I must admit that I was weary of the idea, but all those doubts were quickly shunned. It was easier than I thought it was and I have to say I enjoyed it. Preparing it was time consuming, but it will be worth it.
I planted more of things that we use on a regular basis (onions, green peppers and broccoli) and just a couple of things that we won't need much of (peas and watermelon).
Each seed packet was about $1-$1.50 which will produce about $20-$25 worth of vegetables, not bad. Walking to my backyard to get food is much nicer than driving to the grocery store too! Save food on produce and gas, what more could you ask for?
It is nice to know where my food came from and that it is fresh and I have lots to give to the neighbors!
